Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid period, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, he has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial title since the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt after spring of the previous year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has won 21 victories at twenty-one distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is particularly special," commented world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my child her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, comprising in that event previously this season.
His retrieving strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had caused commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
However the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and compete positively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent saved 4 early chances in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
