Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
